This is one of the most effective SPEED DETECTOR units available in the Hire Industry today.

It has four different modes available …2 of which allow it to perform as an Arrow Board … the other 2 control the Speed Detection functions.

The most unique of the Speed Functions is the VIOLATOR ALERT mode and it works as follows:

In a 60kph zone your first speed setting would be say 65kph…. vehicles travelling past the unit at up to and including 65kph will merely be shown their speed … travel above this setting and the unit will then display a highly visible “SLOW DOWN “ message as seen in the above photograph.

The next speed setting would at say 70kph…vehicles travelling past the unit at between 66kph and 70kph will be shown the “SLOW DOWN “ as indicated above. Should they travel past the unit at 71kph and over the Unit begins to flash a highly visible set of  RED AND BLUE FLASHING LIGHTS.

The final setting in this sequence is the “BLANKING SPEED” setting…in this case it would be at say 80kph…. so from 71kph to 80 kph the RED and BLUE flash and over 80kph the unit  simply goes blank…. this is to deter the TOTAL IDIOT from Seeing how fast his car can go.

The RTA who use these units regularly have been very satisfied with the results they get using the Speed Detector. The Red and Blue flashing lights are so authentic many a motorist has contacted the RTA after triggering these lights in fear they have been booked whilst slowing down to the prescribed limit.
